Information

Description

Amorphophallus titanum, also known as corpse flower due to its odor. This species comes from the tropical rainforests of Sumatra. In 2011 a plant of the Royal Botanic Garden of Kew (London) won the prize to the most stinking Plant in the world. In the Botanical Garden of Bonn in 2003 a specimen produced an inflorescence of 3.06 m measured from the surface of the tuber.

At the level of the plant with leaves, when these plants reach adult size, the plant will create the largest flower in the world.
